The Fortnite Chapter 4 Map Has Been Revealed: New POIs, Gameplay Changes, And More

 Fortnite Chapter 4 has here, and its new map may be more fascinating than anything before. The new Fortnite map incorporates elements from previous maps, such as varied biomes, a mountain range, and a snowy portion that will undoubtedly be the main point of the next winter event. Here's a rundown of everything we've discovered so far regarding the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 4 map.

New POIs

This season, the island is all new, so there's a lot more to see than just a few new landing locations. Even so, if you've been playing Fortnite for a long, you might recognise a few locations. The Citadel is a mediaeval settlement reminiscent of where Geralt of Rivia may walk through, which is ideal given that he is included in the Chapter 4 Season 1 battle pass.

To the northeast is a snowy section that includes drops such as Brutal Bastion and Lonely Labs. Whose labs? It's hard to say for now, but we'll be investigating it this week, no doubt. Frenzy Fields marks the lush green space of the map, though such visuals extend to Slappy Shores and, to an extent, Faulty Splits, as well.

Gameplay changes

Vaulting is a new feature in terms of mechanics. Simply race at a waist-high item and you'll leap over it without having to slow down or jump manually. If it isn't quick enough for you, motorbikes will be introduced this season. They can be shot off of and have room for two people. According to the debut trailer above, you can even do stunts.

 Kinetic Ore is a new substance we're looking at. It's claimed to allow users a means to manipulate physics, which might be handy. These new locations provide several opportunities to test out the Chapter 4 weaponry, or you may check out the new Augments system, which grants bonuses and powers to players who equip them, such as quicker reloading or the ability to always redeploy your glider. You may even dislodge massive snowballs, such as boulders, and jump inside them to execute surprise strikes on your opponents.
