Fortnite - Season 2 Chapter 4 Landing Locations

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 has added a gigantic new biome to the battle royale island, as well as Fortnite's largest city ever, the futuristic Mega City, and various other locales with a more Japanese mediaeval flavour, such as the massive castle at Kenjutsu Crossing.

With a massive new region added to the map, pretty much everyone will be dropping there for the foreseeable future—all it's just so beautiful looking, and Mega City is perhaps the nicest and deepest Fortnite location we've ever had. The remainder of the island is also enjoyable, although many gamers are already familiar with it. Thus, when it comes time to choose your drop, it's difficult to resist opting for the fresh areas right now.

So, yeah, we're going to prioritise newer locales on our list of the best places to drop this season. But don't worry, we haven't forgotten about the remainder of the map, which is still full with amazing landing spots. While most of the old landing locations are considerably quieter than they used to be, that doesn't mean they're safe—wherever there are gentle people seeking for a calm landing, there are also spicy lads and girls looking for those people.

But let's not waste any more time on small conversation. Here are the finest spots to arrive on the Fortnite island right now in Chapter 4 Season 2.

Each of Mega City's enormous structures has advantages and disadvantages that change throughout a round of battle royale, but when it comes to landing at the start, I have just one option. The building just south of the word "Mega" in Mega City isn't the tallest in town, but it has enough loot for a full squad on the bottom floors, including a vending machine on the lowest level, and there's a skyway to the next building on the southern end, so you don't even have to go outside when it's time to move on.

Moreover, because the mall at the bottom is such a maze, it's a wonderful spot to get lost and set up an ambush—I've spent whole solo games holding this area down. While landing in Mega City is always perilous, this structure has constantly served as a platform for me. It will take a few games to get the hang of the difficult layout, but once you do, you'll have a significant advantage over everyone else in town.

To the west of the new metropolis is a big mountain with a crater lake at the summit, a reboot van next to the water on the north side, and two structures on the crater rim to the south. There's enough loot for a squad to gain basic loadouts here, but the NPC who lives here, Neuralynx, also sells Epic-quality Twin-Mag SMGs and tiny shields. Thus, if you want to make sure you have at least one fantastic gun before you start battling, this is the place to go.

One of the most lucrative and least-known locations on the new section of the Fortnite map is a secluded beach to the west of Kenjutsu Crossing. The beach is home to several treasure chests and two guaranteed Kinetic Blades, which are invaluable tools for close-quarters combat. Upon landing at the dueling circles, quickly grab your sword and dart along the coastline to the west. You'll find the beach just a short distance away, and it should have at least four treasure chests waiting to be opened. Look for two chests near a fishing boat that's partially buried in the sand, and two or three more chests located at the end of the beach next to a fallen Sticks sign from the Chapter 3 map.
Near the beach, you'll also find a small tower that's brimming with loot. Inside, you'll discover two additional treasure chests, four kegs of Slap or Slurp, several key chests, and even a port-a-toilet that will teleport you to an identical tower with the same assortment of goodies.
Despite the spread-out nature of the loot in this area, it's well worth the effort to explore. Since it's located at the very edge of the island and doesn't appear on the map, it's often overlooked by other players, which means you'll have the chance to collect all of the treasure for yourself. Make sure to add this location to your list of must-visit spots on the Fortnite map!

For those seeking a reliable spot to land near the new race track in Fortnite, look no further than the small castle just north of the track. While the race track itself may seem like an attractive option, the flat and open terrain can make it a risky gamble, especially with the threat of rooftop snipers from nearby Mega City.

Fortunately, the castle just north of the track offers a more secure alternative. Situated just outside the new biome, this unassuming location has plenty of Slurp and Slap kegs, abundant loot for your squad, and even one of this season's only hirable NPCs, Remedy. Despite its perks, the castle is not a major POI, which means you'll likely have it to yourself for some time.

Once you're well-equipped, the new part of the island is just a stone's throw away, making it an ideal location to launch your attack. With its strategic location and ample resources, the small castle just north of the race track is a must-visit spot for players looking to dominate the competition.

If you're not a fan of the new areas added to Fortnite's island and want to stick to the classic spots, Breakwater Bay is a great option. This location is situated at the far opposite end of the island, away from the new biomes and major points of interest. However, even though this spot is secluded, you should still exercise caution when landing here.
To make the most out of Breakwater Bay, drop outside of the main part of town, to the east across the river. You'll find several houses in this area that are often overlooked by other players, providing plenty of gear for your squad to scavenge.
While other players may head to the main part of town in search of loot, you can take advantage of the less-traveled areas and stock up on weapons, ammo, and resources. This will give you an edge when you do encounter other players, and you'll be better equipped to handle any challenges that come your way.
Overall, Breakwater Bay is a great spot to land if you want to avoid the new additions to the Fortnite island and prefer a more classic experience. Just remember to stay alert and be prepared for any potential encounters with other players.

While Anvil Square may not be as crowded as it used to be, it still sees a fair amount of action in Fortnite. It's one of the holdover POIs from last season and remains one of the most recognizable locations on the island. However, be warned that you'll need to exercise caution when landing here as it can be a popular spot for other players. To maximize your chances of survival, the tower on the northeastern end of town remains the best and most defensible spot to start at. If you can successfully hold the tower, you'll have a significant advantage over other players and control over the town itself. While Anvil Square may not offer as much loot as some of the newer locations on the island, it still has plenty of resources for your squad to collect. Keep an eye out for weapons, ammo, and building materials as you explore the town. Don't forget to check the shops and houses for treasure chests and other valuable items. Overall, Anvil Square is still a solid location to land in Fortnite, especially if you're looking for a bit of nostalgia. Just be prepared for potential encounters with other players and make sure to secure the tower if possible.
