The Best Fortnite Skins So Far

Fortnite skins have come in all different varieties since the game's introduction in July 2017. Players have had the opportunity to acquire or buy over 1,000 skins, which range from sports, actors, and singers to video game icons and invented characters. It's getting challenging to keep up with all the releases as Fortnite enters its sixth year. The answer to the issue of which Fortnite skins are now the greatest may be much more significant.

We can only speculate that Epic will work with additional celebrities and bring more skins to Fortnite in the future. Even without the involvement of famous people, we have already witnessed Epic teaming up with Microsoft to bring in Master Chief, PlayStation to bring in Kratos, and Marvel to bring in Spider-Man, to name a few.

With millions of users each month, Fortnite is here to stay. But first, let's take a look at its past and review some of the greatest Fortnite skins ever before we turn our attention to the game's future.

Meowscles was designed by Fortnite fan artist RexSadio and is already a fantastic fitness warrior cat. After purchasing the character from Rex, Epic has now transformed him into a Steamboat Willy-style Golden Era cartoon character. When you see him flexing in the pre-match lobby, the characteristic black-and-white cartoonish appearance jumps off the screen. He even has a built-in emote that plays a hip-hop tune that was made specifically for Fortnite.

Jules was thrust into the mythology limelight quite fast when we first saw her in Chapter 2 of Season 3. We later learnt that she is Midas' daughter. She belongs there as well because she is so fashionable. Jules is a fan favourite you're virtually certain to see at least once in every lobby of 100 players because to her completely covered in tattoos midriff and arms, as well as a few other styles courtesy to her battle pass and later reimaginings.

One of the greatest video game crossovers in Fortnite to far is the God of War hero, who was quickly followed by characters like Lara Croft, Master Chief, and even a Rocket League Battle-Car via an emote. Nonetheless, due to Kratos' excellent in-game model, we give him the advantage on this ranking. Kratos still has all of his rage and might despite the typically gentler Fortnite characteristics. Now all we can think about is if we'll ever see an original Kratos, complete with his nu-metal beard in all its 2004 splendour.

Several players compare this image of Agent Jones, formerly known as "Dad Bod Jonesy," to Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when he has lost his mind, but it appears that both Fortnite and Marvel were imitating Jeff Bridges' iconic character as The Dude in The Big Lebowski. Jonesy is ready for anything as long as he can do it from the comfort of his sofa, as seen by his sweater, beer belly, and holstered French fries.

Credit where credit is due: The (Samsung) Galaxy Grappler is one of the most distinctive skins ever created for Fortnite. On the surface, it should be less exciting to have a skin related to a smartphone company than, say, a superhero. Galaxy Grappler's appearance incorporates a colourful telescopic aesthetic that almost no other skin in Fortnite shares using a layering approach. Only DC's Raven and early editions of the Galaxy skins share this aesthetic, and neither instance is as prominent as this one.

What could be more striking, in terms of being unusual, than a six-foot-tall plush monkey doll? Monks is fashioned after a typical stuffed animal you may find in the toy section, but he is equipped with a submachine rifle and several firefly jars to burn down a few towns. Monks' best quality, complete with their banana-back bling, is how out of place they first appear in the Fortnite universe, and sometimes that's what we enjoy the most.

We at last got to meet Doctor Slone, the head of the Imagined Order, in Chapter 2 of Season 7. The IO boss is a go-to in our locker presets due to her various but consistently amazing customization choices, despite the fact that we are still dubious of whether we can trust her. Put her in her street clothes or the full IO militia uniform, let her hair fall freely or put it in a headband, and wear the aviators or leave them off. Slone is undoubtedly one of our favourite Chapter 2 battle pass characters, and it's not only because her stealth glider is rather useful.

As his name implies, Mancake is a guy constructed entirely of pancakes. He is more than just a bland breakfast, though. In Chapter 2 Season 5 (#BringBackButterBarn), he formerly lived in the adored Butter Barn and is also a gunslinger. One of the best illustrations of Fortnite's extraordinary willingness to try anything once is Mancake's combination of an early-morning lunch and a mid-afternoon battle. We appreciate their effort with Mancake. We are now awaiting his erratic wife.

div>Players like the customizable, unique superheroes that Epic presented in the Boundless package. While you can't go wrong with any of the group's different members, we particularly adore Backlash. Each hero may be given a completely own identity from head to toe, including colour scheme, hair or mask style, luminous eyes, and even a chest emblem that you are free to interpret as meaning "hope" or anything different. You may use a hero from the Boundless collection to build your own origin tale if you don't like the Marvel and DC characters that are featured throughout the game.

The Walking Dead crossover from 2020 is one of this author's personal favourites among the several notable franchises that have appeared in Fortnite over the years, including Star Wars and the NFL. Legendary TV characters Daryl and Michonne each have different looks that honour the series' storied past, and they look especially amazing in October because that's when Fortnitemares usually happen. But even while they're killing zombies, these looper killers still have a sharp appearance.

Magnus is one of the more uncommon skins in the game; he was first featured in Chapter 1 Season 5. Magnus isn't frequently seen in the store. Of course, you might argue that Norse heroes have already appeared in enough video games and on this list, but Magnus or his female counterpart Huntress give the freezing tundra that unique Fortnite touch. If you enjoy how these heroes appear, be sure to buy them right away from the Item Store because you might have to wait a while to have another opportunity.

As at the time of writing, Travis Scott's The Astronomical Tour in-game concert in the summer of 2020 has never been resold outside of his initial timeframe. Because of this, a certain number of comments on whatever the Fortnite team posts on social media are just gamers pleading for his return. Travis Scott has never had his music resold, although other pop stars, like Ariana Grande, have sometimes entered and exited the market. Travis Scott may make another appearance for those who missed the first one, but that is yet to be determined.

In the greatest manner imaginable, Spider-Man and MJ greeted viewers to Fortnite Chapter 3. Along with several other iterations of Tom Holland's Spider-Man costume, Zendaya's MJ also received a skin. The inclusion of these skins in the game maintained the collaboration between Epic and Marvel, and it also marked the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which came in second to Marvel's Avengers: Endgame in terms of box office revenue with roughly $2 billion.

Before Space Jam: A New Legacy was released, Epic said that The King will be playing Fortnite. The King's Back Bling, the Lion pickaxe, the Wingspan glider, a unique celebration dubbed The Silencer, and of course, a Tune Squad alternative skin were all made available during Chapter 2 Season 7. The Lebron James skin was also introduced during this time. The NBA has partnered with Fortnite before, and it's likely that it won't be the last.

One of the most beloved Fortnite skins is Peely, who made his debut in Season 8. After Jonesy and a banana caused a schism, becoming Peely, there have been many different versions of him over the years. There have been many wonderful ones, as you can see in the image above, but some of my personal faves include Smoothie Peely and Agent Peely. If we're lucky, as the game progresses, we'll receive even more.

In Fortnite Chapter 2 of Season 2, Midas was the Battle Bass prize for reaching Level 100. He was based on a Greek tale, and had a range of skin tones, including a complete gold skin. If you don't know your mythology, Midas was the Phrygian King who made everything he touched into gold. The wonderful thing was that the game accurately recreated this, and when you wore the skin, whatever weapon you touched turned to gold for the remainder of the game.

December 2020 saw the debut of Master Chief himself in Fortnite, not long after Kratos from God of War became a playable in-game skin. It's hardly surprising that Epic worked with Xbox to introduce one of its most recognisable characters after working with PlayStation to introduce Kratos to the game. Throughout the years, Master Chief has appeared and disappeared from the game a few times, usually to coincide with the promotion of the much awaited Halo Infinite, which was published in November 2021.

The Icon Series' first skin, Marshmello, made his Fortnite debut in Season 7 and offers both a standard skin and a Toasted Marshmello version. Together with the skin, Epic held an in-game Marshmello concert that drew over 10.7 million spectators. The Travis Scott concert (12.3 million) and the Galactus event presently hold the top two spots in Fortnite's history for biggest in-game events (15.3 million).
